At least twenty-five persons have been abducted during an attack on New Life for All Church in Kankara local government area of Katsina State on Sunday.
The bandits attacked the church in Jan-Tsauni, Gidan Haruna at about 10 am, local authorities disclosed.
The Senior Special Assistant on Christian Affairs to Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Rev. Ishaya Jurau, made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen.
They abducted over 25 worshippers while they were conducting service this morning and left the church pastor with various degrees of injuries, he said.
According to him, security personnel in the State have heightened their effort to seek the release of the kidnap victims.
However, it was gathered that some of the victims have already been freed from the abductors.
